The British boxer prepares to battle the American YouTuber in an eight round fight which will be shown in real-time on the streaming platform.
British boxer Anthony Joshua stated he will "overwhelm entirely" the American and "defeat" the American as the two fighters came face-to-face to build hype for the upcoming bout.
Ex two-time world title holder Joshua faces social media star turned fighter Jake Paul - in what is, by the numbers, a mammoth uneven pairing - at Miami's arena on December 19th.
Boxer's Mindset
"I'm going to damage his features and break his body up. I aim to demonstrate I'm superior," Joshua, 35 years old, said.
"I will dominate him completely. That's a fighter's mentality.
"I'm going to genuinely try to injure him. That's what I want to do."
Civil Exchange
Despite these statements, a calm Anthony Joshua and internet personality Jake Paul - normally famous for his showmanship - exchanged pleasantries and maintained decorum with each other.
Jake Paul instead attacked ex Joshua rival Francis Ngannou and labeled him "a joke" after Ngannou turned down a bout proposal.
Targeting Tyson Fury
Anthony Joshua, meanwhile, criticized British opponent Fury - and declined a £1m bet 'The Gypsy King' states he will put on a Paul victory.
"Jake Paul outshines Fury - he's present here," the boxer commented.
"I acknowledge that."
Legitimate Opponent
In spite of saying he intends to damage his opponent, Anthony Joshua chose not to speak negatively about his rival's boxing ability.
"Jake Paul is a serious fighter," he remarked.
Paul's Background
Jake Paul - who first rose to fame on the television network - has mostly fought MMA fighters or past-their-prime fighters since turning professional.
He lost to Briton Tommy Fury in last year.
Commercial Success
Nevertheless, the novice remains one of boxing's biggest financial successes, regularly earning massive financial rewards.
Prediction and Belief
The 28-year-old anticipated a KO victory in rounds four or five and stated he would derail the long-awaited Joshua–Fury fight, which is allegedly in the works for two years from now.
"It will be me versus Tyson Fury next year," Jake Paul stated.
Physical Disparity
As Joshua and Paul participated in the customary face-off, with their height and weight contrast evident, it drove home just how unlikely this entire matchup is - and how remarkable it is that the bout is really proceeding.
